Who was Lisa Marie Presley? (Wiki, Bio, Age, Death, Family, Friends, Relationship & More Facts)

Lisa Marie Presley, a singer and the sole child of rock and roll king Elvis Presley, has passed away, according to her mother.

The 54-year-old had a heart attack on Thursday morning at her Calabasas, California, home.

"It is with a sad heart that I must convey the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us," her mother, Priscilla Presley, stated.

She was the zealous, bravest, and most loving woman I've ever encountered.

The 77-year-old had earlier requested that people "remember her and our family in your prayers" in a previous statement.

According to Craig Little, a spokesman for the Los Angeles (LA) County fire department, paramedics were called just before 10.40am to a report of a woman in full cardiac arrest.

Presley lived at the address, which is located about 30 miles northwest of Downtown Los Angeles, according to property records.

Prior to her passing, pictures of Presley's family, including Priscilla and Riley Keough, were taken in front of a local hospital.

 "HEART GOES OUT"

John Travolta expressed his "heart goes out" to Presley's family, calling it "too painful to take."

"I'll miss you, but I'm sure I'll see you again. With all of my affection, I'm thinking of Riley, Priscilla, Harper, and Finley."

Following the news of Presley's passing, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, who spent time with her during the production of the 2022 biopic Elvis, expressed their "broken hearts."

Wilson said in a lengthy Instagram post that she and Tom had spent time with the family while on the promotional tour for the Elvis movie. Lisa Marie was filled with anticipation for the film and was so open-minded and direct. She made such moving remarks about her father and how the film served as a celebration of him.

Terrible News

Diane Warren, a fellow musician, expressed her sadness over the "terrible news."

"Oh no. It's really bad news, she wrote.

The children of Priscilla and Lisa Marie are currently receiving love and prayers from all corners of the globe. I wish you (strength) from it."

Nancy Sinatra, whose father Frank frequently played with Elvis, said: "Occasionally, and today is one of those occasions, I find myself wishing very hard that there is an afterlife."

Otherwise, it would be impossible to tolerate the empty and nothingness."

The final days of Lisa Marie Presley

Just two days prior to her passing, Presley had just returned from the Beverly Hills Golden Globes, where she had celebrated Austin Butler's award for best actor in a drama film for his performance as her father in Elvis, which also starred Tom Hanks as the musician's manager.

She spoke with media on the red carpet and revealed to Entertainment Tonight that Butler's "mind-blowing" performance had left her speechless.

Presley recently visited her father's former home, Graceland Mansion, in Memphis, Tennessee, to commemorate the occasion of his birth anniversary on January 8, 1935.

Elvis Presley, largely regarded as the greatest rock & roll performer in history, passed away at the age of 42 on August 16, 1977.

She was four years old when Priscilla Presley and Elvis Presley divorced in 1972.

Three albums

With the release of her debut album, To Whom It May Concern, in 2003, Lisa Marie Presley continued her father's musical legacy.

It debuted on the US Billboard album chart in the top 10, as did the follow-up album Now What in 2005.

Her third album, Storm and Grace, was delayed for seven years until its well-received release.

Eight years after her appearance in her then-husband Michael Jackson's 1995 music video for the song You Are Not Alone, she started her solo career.

Four marriages

Jackson and Presley's union ended in divorce in 1996.

After being wed to singer Danny Keough from 1988 through 1994, this was her second marriage.

They were very close friends and had two children together: Riley Keough, an actress and model, and Benjamin.

Within three weeks of divorcing Keough, she wed Jackson.

Her third marriage, which lasted from 2002 to their divorce in 2004, was to actor Nicolas Cage.

Michael Lockwood, her guitarist and producer, and Presley remarried in 2006. Finley Aaron Love Lockwood and Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood are their identical twin daughters.

Ten years later, she filed for divorce, and it was finally finalised in 2021.

Dealing with grief

Presley appeared on a new album in 2018 called Where No One Stands Alone, which was created to honour her father's passion for gospel music and had 14 of his original performances.

In the title tune, Lisa Marie and her father sang a duet that had been recreated.

She penned an essay about her son Benjamin's suicide in 2020 for People magazine last year.

Since I was nine years old, I've coped with death, grief, and loss, she claimed.

"I've experienced more of it in my lifetime than anyone should have, and yet I've managed to go this far."
